Entrepreneur Kevin Boothby, who operates two more Greyhound tracks, has landed a 10-year lease at Oxford Stadium and Greyhound Racing and Speedway may now return.
After receiving the Galliard Homes lease, he previously said, “We are delighted that we have made it across the line now and can look to the future and go greyhound racing again and see other things.

“It’s so important that we get it back and do justice to the council and the local community – we have to deliver them fantastic business for the region and create lots of jobs.”
It is also open to speedway returns if a workable plan can be put in place.
Business man Nik Budimir was close to making an offer to purchase the property in Sandy Lane, Cowley last year and convert it into a multipurpose location.
The entrepreneur said he was ready to invest up to £ 25million in restoring greyhound racing, speedway and a dance school at the stadium while adding a boxing club and possibly a rugby sevens court.

There have been no greyhound races there since 2012, but the goal is for them to return as soon as possible.
